Strategic Engineer

Responsibilities

Create a comprehensive long-range plan for component replacement and refurbishment, including timelines and critical milestones.
Inform the VISTRA corporation of future budgetary needs based on the long-range plan.
Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure availability and reliability of critical components and materials over the long term.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address long-term challenges and uncertainties Technology Integration: Identify and integrate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance fleet efficiency.
Evaluate the impact of new technologies on the long-range plan and component life cycles.
Perform tasks in accordance with established expectations for nuclear safety and personnel safety.

Requirements Bachelors of Science Engineering degree (or related Science degree from a college or university with an accredited engineering program) or current (or previously held) licensed Senior Reactor Operator.
Experience in power plant systems or components engineering desired
Experience with fleet-wide initiatives and cross-plant coordination preferred
Experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders and complex
requirements a plus Proficiency utilizing data analysis to inform strategic decisions is favorable *

Final pay grade will be determined based on applicant's experience and qualifications *
